GCSE Results - 2021
St Saviour’s and St Olave’s School is celebrating another set of exceptional GCSE results. We congratulate the amazing resilience and perseverance and tenacity our students have shown.
Catherine May, Headteacher said: “These results are fabulous, and are testament to the hard work and commitment of our students and our staff. The quality of the work these students have produced over a sustained period of time, and in the most challenging of circumstances has been justly rewarded with these exceptional outcomes. I am proud of them all, and I look forward to all they will undoubtedly achieve in the sixth form. I congratulate the students and I thank their families for the support and the staff for their commitment that has contributed to this outstanding success.”
This year as our students dealt with the disappointment of having their examinations cancelled, staff were guided through a thorough and robust teacher assessment and moderation process designed to ensure that all students achieved the grades they had worked hard for and deserved.
Deputy Headteacher, Michelle Ferguson who led on this said: “Our students are amazing. They demonstrated remarkable maturity during this process and staff acted with absolute integrity. We are grateful to our staff and immensely proud of our wonderful students and their incredibly supportive families.”
Stephanie Delvaille, Director of Year 11 said: “Our students have done phenomenally! Despite the immense uncertainty caused by exam cancellations, they have shown resilience, unwavering hard work and dedication to achieve these much-deserved outcomes. I am grateful to the staff that reimagined teaching during the pandemic to ensure that our students were not disadvantaged. I am very proud of Year 11 and I know that they will continue to apply their incredible work ethic in the next stage of their academic careers, which I am confident will be just as fruitful."
