School Links

The school has built up many strong links over the years both locally and internationally. As a member of the Leading Edge Partnership and also Southwark Schools’ Learning Partnership, we work closely with other schools and institutions, aiming to raise achievement and contribute to the quality of learning experiences enjoyed by all.

Internationally, we are building significant relationships with schools in countries as varied as South Africa, Poland, China and Germany. We have particularly close links with Butterworth High School in South Africa, participating in several video conferences with students and teachers. Headteachers have exchanged visits.

Since achieving Specialist Science College status the science department have been very active in working with our feeder schools and promoting science. Boutcher’s and Cathedral Schools have each spent a day visiting St. Saviour’s & St Olave’s on a project involving geology and fossil identification. Our Science Department has also provided these schools with equipment and shown them how to use balance meters and sound level meters. This work will extend in the next year to other schools.

The school is also fortunate to enjoy the support of a number of distinguished institutions: The Worshipful Companies of:: Merchant Taylors, Dyers, Chartered Surveyors, and Scientific Instrument Makers.
