Dawkins Lecture
On Monday 18th November, A level Biology and RS students had the rare opportunity to attend a lecture by the famous evolutionary biologist, Richard Dawkins on the topic of evolution. Dawkins discussed the theory of evolution through natural selection and brought up interesting concepts of Neo-Darwinism in which he described a different approach to the theory of natural selection, relating this to modern genetics. The lecture was also attended by distinguished speakers such as Professor Grayling, who founded the New College of the humanities. No doubt this experience will be invaluable to our studies, a huge thanks to Mr Hart for organising this trip!
