On Thursday 6th February we took 37 students from St Saviour’s to the Royal Festival Hall for an orchestral playing day organised by Southwark Music Service and led by Scott Stroman. Students learned pieces of music by Purcell, Elgar and Copland and performed them alongside a devised piece in a concert following a day of rehearsals with students from other schools in the borough. 

All our students performed extremely well, but special praise must go out to Hannah Piggot 7G, Mycavel Fofonah 9G and Jannice Addai 9G for bravely performing solos at the concert!
